Work in progress: participating artist from Bilbao, Spain, DOUGLAS DE CARVALHO / KUROGAWA

I met Douglas in Edinburgh, Scotland when I was studying Conference Interpretation and he was studying Japanese. He was a friend of a friend and I was immediately fascinated by his young, cosmopolitan, generous and open personality. Douglas is half-Brazilian and half-Scottish, speaks at least 5 languages and has crossed the world at least once!

I had the experience of his creative talent as a Photographer when he documented the "BODIES OF GRACE" poetry and sculpture exhibition of my poems and Karine Jollet's sculptures in June 2009 in Paris.

Douglas is participating in this WICCAN exhibition project on "OPEN BORDERS" with a photograph taken during one of his many adventurous trips.

His sensitivity, love of travelling and eclectic cultural influences allow him to create a body of creative work in installation, design and photography that is unique and very inspiring indeed.

I am very happy to have him on board.
