"OPEN BORDERS, FRONTIERE APERTE, ANIXTA SINORA, FRONTIERES OUVERTES", WICCAN Touring Exhibition Project

Giuliana Balbi, a talented artist and a WICCAN founding member from Trieste, Italy, has received the offer of an exhibition venue in Muggia, her native town next to Trieste (Sala Comunale Giuseppe Negrisin di Muggia).

An application has to be made before the end of September.

The exhibition will take place once the WICCAN application has been selected.

The theme is "OPEN BORDERS" for several reasons that I shall explain in a future post.

Haris Metaxa and Giuliana Balbi will be the curators.

We hope the exhibition will open up in Muggia around April 2012 for 15 days and then it will tour first in other Italian towns and later in other WICCAN countries.

The selection process is open.

First meeting and founding members workshop this summer in Crete

We are at the moment organising the 1st International work meeting among the WICCAN founding members in order to get to know each other better and to decide on a common schedule, theme and founding strategy for the first collective touring exhibition to come.


We shall use this meeting as an occasion to offer courses and workshops to the public in order to share knowledge and to start collecting funds for WICCAN's activities.
